The ASEK Survival Knife System is the official Survival Egress knife chosen by the United States Army to be included in its Air Warrior Equipment System.  Tested and approved by PM Soldier and Natick Research Labs to meet the criteria defined by the US Army.

This system consists of multiple components, including first and foremost an Aircrew Survival Egress Knife (NSN 1095-01-518-6868) with Plexiglas Breaker, saw teeth, serrations, spear holes, lanyard hole and insulated guard.

Additionally, the system includes an anodized aluminum strap cutter (NSN 1095-01-518-6877), with stainless steel blade, to cut webbing, cord, cloth, etc. It has a flathead screwdriver, as well as a honing rod to keep your knife field sharp.

The fire retardant scabbard (NSN 1095-01-518-6875) fits on the pilot's vests, load bearing equipment, web belt, belt or can be worn on the calf as designed for Air Warrior. The strap cutter fits in the left leg pocket on flights and is a must for medical crews. NSN for the complete system is 1095-01-518-6832.
