Known as the “Softpack” (and other names that can not be repeated), the 200 Round Magazine replaces the feedbox beneath the M249 Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW) to provide more responsive and reliable suppressive fire support.
Issued to thousands of Soldiers under the RFI program.
NOTE: This product falls under two NSN's, 1005-01-523-6535 and 1005-01-560-5162 (5162 being the newer one).
This reusable magazine is designed to continuously feed 200 Rounds of 5.56mm-linked ammunition. The magazine resists ammo belt tangling while maintaining quietness when soldier is mobile. Easy to follow loading instructions are printed on the inside panel of the bag. Zips open and closed for easy reloading.
Also available in Coyote Brown, MultiCam, and Woodland Camo; call for availability.
