Product Description

The RAMI254 is a direct replacement for the OE-254/GRC Antenna Group. It is comprised of fewer piece parts,
allowing for quicker assembly and erection, along with being capable of both VHF (30-88 MHz) and UHF (225-
450 MHz) operation modes. It can be deployed atop its 27 ft. mast or utilized on the ground standing on its tripod
base. It is manufactured to meet the mechanical and environmental specifications as called out in MIL-PRF-49204
(OE-254/GRC specification). The antenna comes complete with 70 ft. RG-213 transmission line (antenna to
diplexer) and two 5 ft. RG-213 transmission lines (diplexer to radio set). Additional components for full assembly
and erection (mast or ground deployed) are included in the transit bag.

The AS-3449/VSQ-1 Antenna is designed for use with the Position Location Reporting System (PLRS) Vehicle Radio Set AN/VSQ-1. The antenna is produced to meet all the requirements of the U.S. Army CECOM Specification A3005036. This includes a Mean Time Between Failure of more than 100,000 hours, capability of operation in 55 knot winds with gusts up to 85 knots, and capability of operation with 4.5 pounds of per square inch of ice coating on the antenna.
