The Tactical Defender allows an officer to bridge that gap by placing two proven control tools conveniently in hand. Low profile. Compact. Rapidly deployed. The straight line activation system of the Defender OC is combined with the proven dependability of the ASP Tactical Baton®.

The thumb safety of the Tactical Defender employs a stainless steel post to block activation. Two distinct movements are required to disengage and then discharge a 10% concentration of Oleoresin Capsicum directly on target. Reapplication of the safety at any time is rapid and reflexive should the ASP Baton be required.

The Tactical Defender can be carried in all Series 26 ASP SideBreak, Federal and Duty Scabbards. Replaceable Heat® Inserts dispense two million Scoville Heat Units of OC in a cone shaped pattern. Inert (Test®) Inserts are ideal for training. An adapter allows the use of Palm® Inserts in situations where a reduced volume of Heat or Test is desired.

The Tactical Triad Baton Light is precision machined from high strength aerospace aluminum. A proprietary matte black hardcoat anodizing is accented by an extremely durable foamed vinyl grip. The leak proof CR123A power cell has a ten year shelf life. The parabolic reflector is metalized and gasket sealed. It produces a brilliant white penetrating beam of incredible brightness.

Airweight Baton Advantage:

Weighing approximately 45% less than comparable steel batons, the ASP Airweight loses only 2% of the striking potential of its heavier counterpart. The 7075 aluminum tubing for the baton is custom fabricated to ASP specifications. This is the same alloy that is used in the receiver of the M16. It is extremely strong. The striking surface of the Airweight is 4140 steel tubing. In addition to being noticeably lighter, ASP Airweights move more rapidly than steel batons. They allow a faster "bridge" between strikes.
